Picture Researcher

I've worked as a freelance picture researcher for over thirty years, on books covering a wide range of subjects from popular culture, fashion and gardening, through to history and interior design.

My clients include most of the illustrated book publishers in the UK as well as galleries and museums.

Though I'm always happy to work to a detailed brief, I am best known for working on projects where there is no brief and a creative eye is called for. I work closely with publishers and authors to curate a cohesive set of images from a wide variety of sources.

I am well-versed in copyright legislation, managing picture budgets and fee negotiations with picture sources. I've set up several very advantageous picture deals for a number of my clients.
